Can anyone else access my data?No, you data is encrypted using a password that you choose when you install Mozzie software. You can either accept the encryption password to be the same as the logon password (default) or you can set a unique encryption password. We recommend you use the same password for encryption as logon. Remember your data cannot be read without the encryption password so please write the password down and keep in a safe place. Even Mozzie employees cannot access or read your data. 2. I am currently copying my data to CD/DVDs, why should I use Mozzie online backup?Your CD or DVDs are susceptible to loss, thief or damage but the biggest problem with CD backups is that they require manual effort. Most people will forget to perform backups regularly. Mozzie performs your backups automatically and stores your data off-site without manual effort on your part. You receive an email showing the status of your backup so that you know it is running or if a backup was missed for some reason. 3. Should I stop doing other backups and only use Mozzie?That is up to you. You can continue to perform your existing backups and use Mozzie as part of an additional backup strategy, or use Mozzie as your primary backup but whatever you choose, rest assured your data will be securely stored off-site at Mozzie and available for recovery 24 x 7 x 365, and remember it doesn't matter what backup plan you select, we will always assist you to recover your files from our servers. 4. How hard is it to restore files from Mozzie?You files are easily restored using the same Mozzie backup software. You can view your backed up files, select the file to be restored and click restore. You can restore individual files, folders or the entire backup (we recommend before restoring the entire backup you call us so we can discuss the most appropriate recovery method. We may suggest a complete restore is performed by us sending you an external disk drive with all your files (same as the seed load but in reverse). 5. Can I backup my Outlook email and personal folders with Mozzie?Yes, Outlook .PST files can grow quite large which makes then difficult to backup to DVDs but with Mozzie there are no problems whatever their size. 6. How long are my files retained by Mozzie?Mozzie retains your files for as long as you keep an account with Mozzie. Files that you delete from your computer, or older versions of files that you have modified are kept according to the retention policy that you set. By default Mozzie keeps files that you have deleted for 7 days. If you delete a file by mistake and have deleted it from your computers recycle bin you have 7 days to recover it. You can increase the number of days that deleted files are retained, of course deleted or retained files are counted in your storage usage.7. How much space do I need?For a quick estimate of how much backup space you’ll need, right-click on My Documents in an Explorer window, and select Properties. Make sure the General tab is selected, and you’ll get a total size for the entire directory, which will tell you the total size of the folder. If the size seems large, check whether you really need to back up all the sub-directories. For instance, if your My Music folder only contains music ripped from your own CDs, you probably don’t need to back that up regularly. 8. Can I use Mozzie to backup my databases?Yes, Mozzie can backup all common databases including:

Does every file get backed up?You have control over which folders and files are backed up. After the initial backup only new or changed files are transmitted saving time and bandwidth.
